Cosplay - "costume play"

 Everyone draws inspiration and strength from somewhere, and for me it's the unique characters, stories, and art found within the world of video games. 

I've been playing through the Tomb Raider games since the beginning, and I've enjoyed every one of your adventures. But it wasn't until the reboot of Tomb Raider in 2013 that you became more than just a character, you honestly became one of my heroes. Lara, you displayed a very human side with emotions and weaknesses that I began to relate to on a personal level. Despite the fact that you are a fictional character, you became someone I looked up to and drew strength from. 

The Definitive Edition of Tomb Raider was a blessing in disguise, for little did I know what trials I was about to face in my own life. In this second play through you and I truly took a journey together. Your strong, beautiful character became my role model, to look up to and draw strength from. Your example of perseverance as you overcame everything that was thrown your way from a physical to even an emotional level was beyond inspirational. 

I cannot express how much I admire and love you, Lara Croft. There are not many female lead characters – let alone other video game characters – that can quite live up to the reputation and standard you have set.

I am truly humble and proud to cosplay and embody your amazing character. ❤
